Dr Golding is the current Australian Cricket Team doctor (Men’s) and is a specialist Sports & Exercise Medicine Physician. He has extensive experience in treating elite athletes in a number of sports including Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Athletics, Golf and Netball.
In addition to his commitments to Cricket, he continues to provide Match Day Medical support in International Rugby Union, NRL and Super Rugby Competitions. He was previously a doctor for Australia A Cricket, Australian U19s and U17s Cricket, NSW Swifts Netball, NSW Athletics, Australia U20s and U18s Rugby, Sydney Rays NRC Rugby, Presidents Cup International Golf Teams and assistant doctor at Cronulla Sharks in the NRL. Additionally, he has been part of the Match Day Medical team for Sydney 7s Rugby, FFA Soccer, Wallabies Tests, Sydney International Rowing Regattas and the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Dr Golding supports evidence based medicine and cares for his patients using established and up to date scientific research. In addition to managing musculoskeletal pathology, he is skilled in ultrasound guided injections where indicated. He has added interest and has researched mental illness in athletes and concussion in sport. Leigh consults from our Randwick rooms.
